As a nonprofit we need all the help we can get. We can all make a difference in our communities and the country by making sure more North Carolinians are registered and ready to vote! Thank you for offering your time, talent and ideas.
We need help in the following areas:
- Volunteer to reach out to voters
- Text voters from home
- Register voters in your community
- Coordinate and participate in phone banking events
- On Election Day, engage in “vote tripling” by asking voters to text three of their friends, urging them to come to the polls and vote.
- Volunteer to help with events
- Attend in-person NCVP-sponsored events and provide operational support to staff.
- Host an event in your community to discuss issues of concern and invite us to attend.
- Support post-event activities such as writing thank you notes to our donors.
- Volunteer to assist with Election Support tasks.
- Provide transportation to voters on Election Day, or during the Early Voting period.
- Help to get disabled or elderly people to the polls to vote.
- Volunteer to help with voter education and research
- Speak to others about our actions and encourage them to get involved.
- Respectfully listen to others and tell us what their major concerns are.
- Assist us with research on various registration topics as they arise.
- Learn how to make a plan to vote: know who is on your ballot, where your polling place is, how to early vote or get an absentee ballot, and make sure you have valid photo identification.
We are all in this together and everyone can participate and help in some way. As someone once said: “Democracy is not a spectator sport, and if we don’t participate democracy can die.” Thanks for all you are doing and will do in the future because we can’t be successful without your help.
