Texting Program
Building Trust Through Conversation
NCVP’s Texting Program uses targeted text messaging campaigns to support voter registration and election participation across North Carolina. During each campaign, trained volunteers engage in two-way conversations with voters, answering questions, providing trusted, nonpartisan voting information, and connecting people with the resources they need to participate.
How It Works
- Targeted Outreach Campaigns
Throughout the year, NCVP launches text messaging campaigns focused on voter registration and election participation. - Two-Way Conversations
Recipients can reply directly to our messages. Trained volunteers answer questions and provide trusted, nonpartisan information to help people navigate the voting process. I - Trusted Information
Whether someone needs help registering, locating their polling place, understanding voter ID requirements, or finding early voting information, our volunteers connect them with accurate, reliable resources. - Continuous Learning
We evaluate campaign results and voter feedback to strengthen future outreach and improve how we engage North Carolinians.
Why Texting?
Text messaging allows us to connect with voters quickly and at scale while creating opportunities for meaningful, two-way conversations. By answering questions and providing trusted, nonpartisan information, we help reduce barriers to participation and build confidence throughout the voting process.
