Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the call program, including volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision.
  • Co-manage the texting program, ensuring timely and effective communication with voters.
  • Conduct face-to-face voter contact as needed, engaging directly with the community.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase voter registration and turnout.
  • Maintain accurate records of voter interactions and program outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other team members to align efforts and share best practices.
  • Provide regular reports on program metrics and outcomes.

Job Requirements:

  • At least two cycles of community organizing experience.
  • Experience with voter registration and GOTV campaigns.
  • Proven ability to manage volunteer-driven programs.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit or advocacy organization.
  • Must be based in North Carolina.
  • Commitment to nonpartisan voter registration and engagement.

Job Description:

The Community Organizer will be primarily responsible for managing our call program, co-managing our texting program, and potentially conducting face-to-face voter contact. This role is essential for ensuring our voter engagement efforts are effective and impactful. The Community Organizer will work closely with the Field Team to implement and oversee these programs, ensuring smooth operations and high levels of engagement.

  • Organizational and Interpersonal:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge:
    • Understanding of North Carolina’s electoral landscape.

Skills

  • Technical:
    • Experience with digital communication tools and platforms (e.g., social media, email marketing, CRM software).
    • Familiarity with digital tools for organizing (e.g., texting platforms, call software).
    • Proficiency in managing and analyzing data related to voter engagement.
  • Language: Spanish fluency is a plus.
